Valentine’s Day is a great excuse to get out for an extra special night with your SO or a few of your besties. But if you’re like me, you don’t necessarily need your V-Day outfit to scream V-Day.  Don’t get me wrong, I love a good red dress, but that doesn’t mean I only wear it come February 14th. So if you’re like me and want to look stylish, but will pass on the obvious choice, check out these alternate Valentine’s Day outfit options to celebrate in style.

Whether you’re headed out for a girls’ night, doing a super chill date night, or going big with a fancy dinner and a show, we’re sharing a few fun outfit options that work for Valentine’s Day that AREN’T a red dress.

1. Leather Leggings + Gray Tee + White Blazer

Easy to wear and perfect for sharing a giant bowl of pasta (hello high waist leggings!) over dinner. Add structure to leggings and a tee with a well-fitting boyfriend blazer. Finish the look with pumps or booties and consider yourself ready.

Outfit #1: Leather Leggings / Gray Tee / Satin Blazer / Leopard Clutch / Heels / Hoops

Outfit #2: Leather Leggings / Gray Tee / Cropped Blazer / Burgundy Booties / Statement Earrings / Shoulder Bag

2. Slip Dress + Long Cardi

Doing it up big this year or got fun plans with your girls? I love the subtly sexy combination of a silky slip dress with an oversized, long cardigan layered over top.  Simple booties and minimal jewelry make this a no-fuss, high-style look that anyone can pull off.

Outfit #1: Tie-Front Cardigan / Emerald Slip Dress / Beige Heels / Delicate Gold Necklace

Outfit #2: Open Front Blush Cardigan / Velvet Slip Dress / Black Booties / Pearl Earrings / Red Lipstick

3. LPD (Little PINK Dress)

Let’s call this “red dress light.” Want to keep it festive but bring it down just a notch? Opt for a muted pink, dusty rose, or mauve-ish hue. It’s a universally flattering color palette that in my opinion is a super sophisticated way to wear pink.

Outfit #1: Blush Dress / Gold Bangle / OTK Boots / Black Bag

Outfit #2: Blush Lace Dress / Moto Jacket / Beige Heels / Gold Hoops

4. Printed Skirt + Moto Jacket

A fun print is a great way to shake things up for a night out! A feminine print on bottom paired with a rougher, moto style jacket on top with a simple tee is a perfect girls’ night or date night combo!

Outfit #1: Leather Jacket / White Tee / Patterned Sequin Skirt / Beige Heels

Outfit #2: Leather Jacket / Leopard Print Skirt / Black Bodysuit / Gold Studs / Heels

5. Denim + Romantic Top

Super on trend for this year, the puff sleeve square neckline top shows a bit of skin in the prettiest of ways. Pair it with simple straight-leg denim and good flats or booties for a relaxed, casual date night vibe.

Outfit #1: Red Top / Straight Leg Denim / Gold Wire EarringsShoulder Bag / Loafers

Outfit #2: Trench / Twist Front Top / Denim / Booties / Statement Earrings
