Notes from Joana got a makeover. This was kind of a spur of the moment decision but I’m so happy with how it turned out, you guys!

As I’ve told you before, I was feeling unmotivated with the whole blogging thing for the past year or so. I was putting too much pressure on myself to make it perfect and focusing on the numbers more than I should and it kind of took a toll on me. I fell into a creative rut and felt like nothing I was creating was good enough to be published – I’m a big perfectionist so that doesn’t help.

Anyway, I missed blogging just for fun. I just needed something to reignite my passion. So I thought, how about a blog makeover?

Do you know when someone tells you to buy pretty workout clothes to motivate you to go to the gym? Well, I guess the same goes for blogging. It did work because I’m feeling more inspired and motivated. It’s like a fresh start and that brings me a lot of joy!

I had two days off from work in late February and instead of binge-watching Netflix or Youtube, I was designing my new blog. Although I bought a template – from HerPark Studio, which I love! – I had to put it together myself. It is simple for the most part thanks to her helpful notes but very time consuming, especially when you make a mistake and have no idea what you did and how to fix it. But it’s all well now. I mean, there’s still some work to do as you can probably tell but I don’t want to wait anymore.

I hope you like it! And I also want you to know how much I appreciate you for reading my blog, whether you just discovered it or are a long time reader 💛 Thank you!

What do you think about the new blog?
